In March 2025, our curious hearts dared to ask, "What if we moved to give our kids a different kind of childhood? One without active shooter drills at school? What if we could give ourselves, and our nervous systems, a chance at a different way, a different pace of life? What if we could truly become bilingual and raise multilingual, global citizens?" Since that time, our commitment to this new way forward has only intensified, adding to the list of reasons to continue to plan, to make the move happen. This blog follows our journey relocating as a family of 4 (plus fur kids!) from the PNW to the Netherlands. From my perspective as a mom, partner, financial planner and a yoga and meditation instructor, I will share our experience and offer tips on navigating an international move with intention and clarity of purpose.
